The Eighth China International Conference in Macroeconomics (CICM 2026) will be held on June 27-28, 2026 in Changchun, China. The conference is jointly organized by the Jilin University Economics School and the China Forum of Macroeconomic Research (CFMR). The meeting aims to promote academic research on macroeconomic theory and China’s macroeconomic issues, and to facilitate international exchanges among scholars and policy communities.The conference will feature regular academic sessions. In addition, a policy session will be organized, bringing together policymakers and experts to discuss key macroeconomic issues related to China and the global economy, and to present their views on current policy challenges.

TOPICS
We invite submissions of high-quality papers in all areas of macroeconomics, with a particular interest in research related to China. Topics include, but are not limited to, economic growth and development, business cycles, firm dynamics, labor markets, money and banking, macro-finance, monetary and fiscal policy, international trade and finance, structural change, income distribution, and inequality.Only papers written in English will be considered.

BEST PAPER AWARDS
The program committee plans to select two conference papers for the following awards.
CICM Best Paper Award: US$2000
CICM Best Junior Scholar Paper Award: US$2000
Papers in all topics will be considered for the awards, but we give priority to job market papers and China-related research.
PAPER SUBMISSION
Authors are invited to register and submit a full paper(PDF only) by March1, 2026 through the following link:

Submitted papers will be reviewed by a referee committee composed of international scholars. Authors are expected to be notified of decisions by March 31, 2026.
